The delicate situation facing the shipping industry concerns all players in the supply chain. Disruption and bottleneck are just two of the terms that come to define this activity with a major impact on the supply chain, globally.
On the eve of the winter holidays, chaos seems to have set in in the world's major ports and its effects are being felt by the end consumer. In addition to congested ports, shipping on the containerized segment has become much more expensive, leading to a number of changes in freight.
